Toren Finkel is the Director of the Aging Institute at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and holds the Beckwith Endowed Chair of Translational Medicine. He has been inducted into the American Society for Clinical Research, the Association of American Physicians, and is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine. He obtained a combined MD and PhD from Harvard Medical School, then completed his medical residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital and a cardiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins.
